It then builds two edits from the best moments, a Short cut and a Full cut, and writes captions for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. It takes about 2–3 minutes. ## Steps 1. **Select your clips:** Open cutzio and pick up to 15 videos from your Photos library, up to 15 minutes in total. Raw, unedited takes are perfect. 2. **Choose an editing style:** Leave it on Auto and the AI decides, or pick one or more of six styles to combine: Fast Jump, Hook First, Before/After, Cut the Fluff, Highlight Only and Q&A Focus. Each one tells the AI what to prioritise. 3. **Add a note (optional):** Tell the AI anything specific, like “start with the reveal” or “keep the tasting moment”. When you add a note, it takes priority over the styles you picked. 4. **Let the AI edit:** cutzio analyses speech and visuals, labels every moment (hook, main content, B-roll, filler, retakes), and assembles the edit. It usually takes 2–3 minutes, and you can leave the app meanwhile. 5. **Get two cuts:** You receive a Short cut, which is tight, hook-first and built for reach, and a Full cut that keeps the whole story without the filler. These are kept, not removed as “silence”. - **Filler:** Pauses, “um”s, hesitations and off-topic bits. Removed. - **Errors & retakes:** False starts and repeated takes. The growth math > On TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, more posts mean more chances to break out. Each video is a fresh draw from the algorithm, so a creator posting 15 times a week gets nearly four times as many chances as one posting 4 times. Most creators stop at 3–5 a week because editing takes hours. cutzio does that editing in about 2–3 minutes, so 15 videos a week takes roughly the same time as 4 edited by hand. ## 15 videos in the time you spend on 4 Filming is the fun part. Editing is what caps your output: about 2 hours per video by hand. With cutzio the edit takes minutes, so the hours you already spend now cover almost four times the posts. - 4 videos a week edited by hand: 10h a week - 15 videos a week with cutzio: 10h a week ## Every post is a lottery ticket Nobody can predict which video takes off. Creators who grow fast are not luckier per video. They simply buy more tickets. If 1 in 50 posts breaks out, here is how your monthly odds change with volume. | Videos per week | Posts per month | Chance of at least one breakout | |---|---|---| | 3 | 13 | 23% | | 4 | 17 | 30% | | 7 | 30 | 46% | | 10 | 43 | 58% | | 15 | 65 | 73% | ## Three creators, same week Same niches, same starting audiences. The only difference is how many videos they get out each week. Monthly income counts brand deals only. | Creator | Today | Followers in 12 months (now → 15/wk) | Brand-deal income / month | |---|---|---|---| | Maya (Cooking) | 2k followers, 3/wk | 2.5k → 6.4k | $33 → $258 | | Leo (Fitness) | 20k followers, 4/wk | 27k → 64k | $473 → $2,575 | | Ava (GRWM & beauty) | 100k followers, 5/wk | 148k → 322k | $3,199 → $12,877 | ## Cost Premium is $24.99/month or $149.99/year and includes 15 credits a week, enough for 15 posts. Free: 3 credits a week. ## Assumptions & method This is an illustrative model, not a forecast or a promise. Real results depend on your niche, your content and how consistently you post. We show every number so you can check it and change it. - **Filming time per video:** 30 min. Same with or without cutzio. - **Manual editing time per video:** 2 hours. Scrubbing takes, cutting pauses, finding a hook, captions. - **cutzio time per video:** 10 min. About 2–3 minutes of AI editing plus a few minutes to review the two cuts and post. - **Chance a single post breaks out:** 1 in 50. 1 in 50 posts reaches far beyond your followers. Each post is an independent draw. - **Follower growth per post:** +0.15%. +0.15% of your current audience per post, compounding. - **Brand deal rate:** $10 / 1k followers. About $10 per 1,000 followers per sponsored post, a common creator rule of thumb. - **Sponsored share of posts:** 10%. 1 in 10 posts is sponsored, up to 4 deals a month. - **Brand deals per month (max):** 4. Brand demand, not your output, is the limit here. ## FAQ ### How often should I post on TikTok, Reels and Shorts? There is no magic number, but on short-form platforms volume matters a lot because every video gets its own shot at reach. Creators who grow quickly usually post at least once a day. Start with the most you can sustain without quality dropping, then raise it. The usual limit is editing time, not ideas. ### Does posting more really make you grow faster? More posts mean more chances for one to break out, and more surface area for new viewers to find you. It is not a guarantee: a weak video is still weak. That is why cutzio focuses on the edit, opening with your strongest moment and cutting dead air, so the extra volume does not cost you quality. ### Won’t posting 15 videos a week lower my quality? Only if the extra videos are rushed. With cutzio you still film your own footage and choose a style, and you get two finished cuts per project to pick from. The time you save on editing can go into better filming and better ideas. ### Is 15 videos a week realistic? Yes, if you batch your filming. Premium includes 15 credits a week, one per project, and each project gives you a Short cut and a Full cut. You can also post the same edit to TikTok, Reels and Shorts with captions written for each. ### Where do the numbers on this page come from? From a simple, transparent model listed in the assumptions section: a 1-in-50 breakout chance per post, +0.15% followers per post, and a brand deal rate of about $10 per 1,000 followers. They are illustrative. Use the calculator to plug in your own numbers. --- # Seven AI editing styles Every cutzio project starts on Auto, where the AI decides how to edit your footage. Pick one or more of the other six styles to tell it what to prioritise. They can be combined. Or write a note to describe exactly what you want. - [Auto editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/auto): Auto is cutzio's default style: the AI watches your clips, picks the best moments, opens with a hook and builds a Short cut and a Full cut. No decisions needed. - [Before/After editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/before-after): The Before/After style finds the before and after moments in your clips and builds a clear transformation video. Perfect for makeovers, cleaning and DIY. - [Cut the Fluff editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/cut-the-fluff): Cut the Fluff removes filler words, hesitations, retakes and off-topic tangents from your talking videos automatically. Sharper edits on iPhone with cutzio. - [Fast Jump editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/fast-jump): Fast Jump removes every pause and silence from your clips to create a fast-paced, high-energy vertical video. AI jump cuts on iPhone with cutzio. - [Highlight Only editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/highlight-only): Highlight Only keeps just the most exciting 1–2 moments from all your clips, for ultra-short, punchy Reels and TikToks. Automatic highlight reels on iPhone. - [Hook First editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/hook-first): Hook First finds the most engaging or surprising moment in your clips and moves it to the start of the video, so viewers stop scrolling. Try it on iPhone. - [Q&A Focus editing style](https://cutzio.app/styles/qa-focus): Q&A Focus keeps only the question-and-answer parts of your footage. Great for interviews, podcasts, street interviews and tutorials. Edit it on iPhone with cutzio. --- # Auto editing style > Auto is cutzio's default style. You don't make any editing decisions: the AI watches every clip, finds the strongest moments, opens with a hook when it helps, cuts filler and retakes, and builds both a Short cut and a Full cut. **Best for:** - Your first project, when you're not sure which style fits - Mixed footage that doesn't fit one format - Posting fast without thinking about the edit - Comparing against a specific style to see what works for your audience **Skip it if:** - You already know the format you want, like a transformation (Before/After) or an interview (Q&A Focus) - You need something specific kept or moved, which is what a note is for ## What Auto does Auto is the "just edit it" option. You select your clips, leave the style on Auto, and cutzio makes every decision itself: 1. It **transcribes and segments** every sentence and scene in your clips. 2. It **labels each moment** as a hook, main content, B-roll, filler, or an error or retake. 3. It **builds two edits**: - a **Short cut** with only the most impactful moments, a strong opening hook and fast pacing - a **Full cut** that keeps the storyline in order, without the filler and retakes 4. It **writes captions and hashtags** for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. ## When to switch away from Auto Auto is a strong default, but a specific style gives you more control when you know the format: - Showing a transformation? Use [Before/After](/styles/before-after). - Talking to camera with lots of "um"s? Use [Cut the Fluff](/styles/cut-the-fluff). - Want maximum energy? Use [Fast Jump](/styles/fast-jump). - Filming an interview? Use [Q&A Focus](/styles/qa-focus). You can also **combine styles**, for example Hook First with Cut the Fluff, or write a **note** like "start with the reveal". A note takes priority over the styles. ## FAQ ### What does the Auto style do? Auto lets cutzio's AI decide how to edit. It labels every moment in your clips (hook, main content, B-roll, filler, retakes) and builds a short, viral-oriented cut plus a longer cut that keeps the whole story. ### Is Auto selected by default? Yes. A new project starts on Auto. Pick any of the other styles (Fast Jump, Hook First, Before/After, Cut the Fluff, Highlight Only, Q&A Focus) to steer the edit instead, and you can combine several. ### Can I combine Auto with other styles? Auto is what you get when no other style is selected. As soon as you pick one or more styles, cutzio follows those instead. --- Last updated: 2026-10-11 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/auto --- # Before/After editing style > Before/After finds the "before" and "after" moments in your clips and builds the edit around the transformation. Viewers see the contrast clearly, the most satisfying format in short-form video. **Best for:** - Hair, makeup and skincare transformations - Cleaning, organizing and room makeovers - DIY, renovation and car detailing - Fitness progress and meal-prep results **Skip it if:** - There is no visible change in your footage (try Highlight Only) ## What Before/After does Transformation videos are a staple of short-form content because the payoff is visual and instant. The hard part is editing: the process usually takes far longer than the result deserves on screen. Before/After identifies the starting state, the key steps of the process, and the final result. It compresses the middle and makes the contrast obvious. ## What it keeps - **The before:** a clear look at the starting point. - **The key steps:** only the moments that explain *how*, not every minute of work. - **The after:** the reveal, given enough time to land. ## Filming tips 1. **Use the same angle** for the before and after shots. The contrast reads instantly. 2. **Film the reveal slowly.** A pan or a turn gives the AI a great final moment. 3. **Keep the camera rolling** during the process. cutzio cuts the boring parts for you. See also: [before/after reveal videos](/for/before-after-reveals). ## FAQ ### Do I need to film the before and after in separate clips? No, but it helps. You can select one long clip or several. cutzio finds the before and after states either way, but separate clips give the cleanest contrast. ### Can cutzio show the after first? Yes. Add a note like "show the result first" and cutzio will open on the after shot, then rewind to the before. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/before-after --- # Cut the Fluff editing style > Cut the Fluff removes filler words like "um" and "you know", hesitations, false starts and off-topic tangents from your talking videos. You keep your message and lose the mumbling. **Best for:** - Talking-head tips, explainers and storytimes - Product reviews and recommendations - Tutorials where you talk while you work - Creators who need several takes to get a line right **Skip it if:** - Your video has little or no speech (try Fast Jump or Highlight Only) ## What Cut the Fluff does When you talk to camera, you rarely say it perfectly the first time. There are "um"s, restarts, tangents and the same point said twice. Each one costs you viewers. Cut the Fluff transcribes everything you say, labels each sentence, and drops: - **Filler words and hesitations:** "um", "uh", "like", "you know". - **Errors and retakes:** false starts and repeated attempts at the same line. The best take stays. - **Redundancy:** when you make the same point twice, only the clearest version survives. - **Off-topic tangents:** detours that don't serve the main message. ## Short cut vs Full cut The **Full cut** keeps your whole explanation in order, just cleaner. The **Short cut** keeps only the strongest points and opens with a hook. It's ideal when the same content needs to work as a 20-second teaser. ## Tips - Speak in complete sentences, and pause before retrying a line. - Mention your main point early. It helps the AI decide what matters. - Use a note like "keep the three tips" to protect structure. Related: [how to remove silences and dead air on iPhone](/guides/remove-silence-from-video-iphone). ## FAQ ### How do I remove "um" and "uh" from a video on iPhone? Open cutzio, select your clips and choose Cut the Fluff. The AI transcribes your speech, finds filler words and hesitations, and cuts them out automatically in about 2–3 minutes. ### Will it remove my retakes? Yes. cutzio labels false starts and repeated takes as errors or retakes and keeps only the best version of each line. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/cut-the-fluff --- # Fast Jump editing style > Fast Jump is cutzio's high-energy style. It cuts out every pause, breath and silence between moments, so the video moves fast from start to finish, like hand-made jump cuts but done automatically. **Best for:** - Talking-to-camera tips and rants - Day-in-the-life vlogs with lots of small moments - Fitness and workout clips - Anyone whose raw takes have long pauses **Skip it if:** - Your video relies on slow, cinematic shots or a calm mood (try Highlight Only) - You want to keep natural pauses for comedic timing ## What Fast Jump does Fast Jump looks for every gap in your footage: pauses before you speak, breaths between sentences, moments where nothing happens. It removes them. The result is a tight, energetic video where every second carries something. Doing this by hand means scrubbing the timeline and splitting the clip dozens of times. cutzio does it for all of your clips at once, in about 2–3 minutes. ## How it works 1. cutzio transcribes your speech and segments every sentence and scene. 2. Silence and dead air between segments is removed. 3. Visual moments without speech (B-roll) are kept, because they're content and not silence. 4. You get a **Short cut** (the punchiest moments) and a **Full cut** (the whole story, without gaps). ## Tips for better Fast Jump edits - **Film in short bursts.** Several 10-second takes edit better than one rambling 2-minute take. - **Leave a beat between ideas.** A clear pause makes it easier for the AI to cut cleanly. - **Add a note** if one moment must stay, for example "keep the part where I drop the weights". ## Fast Jump vs Cut the Fluff Fast Jump removes *silence*. [Cut the Fluff](/styles/cut-the-fluff) removes *weak words*: filler like "um", hesitations and off-topic tangents. If you talk a lot, Cut the Fluff gives a sharper message. If you pause a lot, Fast Jump gives more energy. ## FAQ ### What is a jump cut? A jump cut removes the gap between two moments of the same shot, so the video skips ahead. Short-form creators use them to keep energy high and remove dead air. ### Does Fast Jump remove B-roll? No. cutzio labels silent but meaningful visuals as B-roll and keeps them. Fast Jump only removes empty pauses and dead air. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/fast-jump --- # Highlight Only editing style > Highlight Only keeps just the most exciting one or two moments from all of your clips and drops everything else. Use it when you want an ultra-short, punchy clip rather than a story. **Best for:** - Travel and event footage with one standout moment - Sports, tricks and reactions - Teasers for a longer video or post - Lots of footage, little time to watch it back **Skip it if:** - Your video needs context or steps to make sense (try Hook First or Cut the Fluff) ## What Highlight Only does Sometimes the story doesn't matter, only the moment does. Highlight Only scans every clip you select, scores the moments by how engaging they are, and keeps only the top one or two. It's like a highlight reel without hours of watching your own footage back. ## When to use it - You filmed **a whole day** but only one moment is post-worthy. - You want a **teaser** that sends people to a longer video. - You want to **post more often** without making every post a full production. ## How it differs from Hook First [Hook First](/styles/hook-first) puts the best moment *first* and then tells the rest of the story. Highlight Only keeps *only* the best moments. It's shorter, faster and has no setup. ## FAQ ### How short is a Highlight Only edit? It depends on your footage, but it is the shortest style. It is usually a few seconds to around 15 seconds, built from the top one or two moments. ### Can I use Highlight Only with a lot of clips? Yes. That's where it shines. Select up to 15 clips (15 minutes in total) and cutzio finds the best moments across all of them. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/highlight-only --- # Hook First editing style > Hook First finds the most engaging or surprising moment in your footage and opens the video with it. Then it tells the rest of the story. It is the fastest way to stop people from scrolling past in the first second. **Best for:** - Recipes where the final dish is the payoff - Reveals, unboxings and transformations - Travel clips with one jaw-dropping view - Any video where the best part comes at the end **Skip it if:** - The order of events matters more than the payoff, like a step-by-step tutorial (try Q&A Focus or Cut the Fluff) ## What Hook First does On TikTok, Reels and Shorts, most viewers decide within the first second or two whether to keep watching. Raw footage almost never starts with the best moment, because you film in order and the payoff comes last. Hook First fixes that. cutzio rates every moment in your clips, picks the most engaging or surprising one, and places it at the very start. Then the video builds back up to it. ## How cutzio picks the hook - **Visual payoff:** the finished dish, the transformation, the view from the top. - **Strong lines:** a bold claim, a punchline, or a question that creates curiosity. - **Motion and emotion:** reactions, laughs, surprise. The rest of the edit keeps a logical story (beginning, main content, ending) so the video still makes sense after the hook. ## Example A pasta video filmed in order goes: boiling water, chopping, sauce, plating, tasting. With Hook First it opens on the **plated dish and the first bite**, and then shows how you made it. ## Pair it with - [Before/After](/styles/before-after) when the hook *is* the transformation. - [Highlight Only](/styles/highlight-only) when you only want the payoff and nothing else. ## FAQ ### What is a hook in a short-form video? The hook is the first 1–3 seconds of a video. It has to give viewers a reason to keep watching, usually a surprising visual, a bold statement or a preview of the payoff. ### Can I choose which moment becomes the hook? Yes. Add a note such as "start with the cake reveal" and cutzio will open with that moment. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/hook-first --- # Q&A Focus editing style > Q&A Focus keeps only the questions and their answers from your footage and drops the small talk. It suits interviews, podcasts, street interviews and FAQ-style tutorials. **Best for:** - Interviews and podcast clips filmed on a phone - Street interviews and vox pops - Answering follower questions - FAQ-style tutorials **Skip it if:** - Your video has no spoken questions (try Cut the Fluff or Highlight Only) ## What Q&A Focus does Interview-style content works brilliantly on short-form platforms. Each question is a built-in hook, and each answer is a payoff. The raw recording, though, is full of setup, small talk and long pauses. Q&A Focus transcribes the conversation, finds each question and its answer, and drops everything around them. ## Great for - **Street interviews:** a question, a funny answer, then the next person. - **"You asked, I answered" videos:** respond to comments in a tight edit. - **Expert interviews and podcasts:** pull out the most useful exchange. ## Tips 1. Make sure the question is audible. Use a mic on the interviewer if you can. 2. Keep each answer focused. Shorter answers make better clips. 3. Use the **Short cut** for the single best Q&A and the **Full cut** for a mini-episode. See also: [podcast and interview clips](/for/podcast-interview-clips). ## FAQ ### Can cutzio edit podcast clips? Yes, if the footage is on your iPhone. Select up to 15 minutes of clips, choose Q&A Focus, and cutzio keeps the question-and-answer moments. For cutting hours-long desktop podcasts into dozens of clips, a desktop tool such as Opus Clip is a better fit. ### Does Q&A Focus keep the question if it is off camera? Yes, as long as the question is audible. cutzio works from the transcript, so a clearly spoken question is kept with its answer. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/styles/qa-focus --- # What creators make with cutzio cutzio works best with footage you film on your phone in several takes. Finding the right moments and trimming each step by hand takes far longer than cooking. ## How cutzio edits a recipe 1. **Opens with the payoff.** With [Hook First](/styles/hook-first), the plated dish or the first bite comes first. 2. **Keeps every key step.** Ingredients going in, the sauce coming together, the flip. 3. **Cuts the waiting.** Boiling, simmering and reaching for things are removed. 4. **Writes the caption.** A recipe-friendly caption and hashtags for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You also get a **Full cut** that keeps the whole method. It's perfect for YouTube Shorts or a step-by-step post. ## Filming tips for recipe videos - Film **top-down or at counter height** and keep the angle consistent. - Shoot **one clip per step**. Raw gym footage is full of walking to the bench, adjusting weights and catching your breath. Nobody wants to watch it, and nobody wants to trim it. ## How cutzio edits fitness content - **Fast Jump** removes rest and setup and keeps every working rep, for a punchy montage. - **Highlight Only** keeps just your heaviest lift or best set. - **Cut the Fluff** works for talking form tips, removing hesitation between cues. ## Ideas that work - "4 moves for…" circuits, one clip per move - PR attempts and progress check-ins - Form tips filmed from two angles - Before/after progress, which works great with [Before/After](/styles/before-after) ## Filming tips 1. Prop your phone so your **full body is in frame**. 2. **One exercise per clip** makes cleaner cuts. 3. Talk to camera between sets if you want tips. cutzio keeps the useful parts. ## FAQ ### How do I make a workout video for Instagram Reels? Weeks later, they're still sitting in your camera roll because editing them feels like a project. ## How cutzio handles travel footage - **Finds the moments worth posting.** Views, reactions, food and motion. - **Drops the dead footage.** Shaky starts, accidental recordings, long pans of nothing. - **Keeps B-roll.** Silent scenic shots are treated as content, not silence. - **Two versions.** A **Short cut** for a punchy Reel, a **Full cut** for a mini travel vlog. ## Travel video ideas - "24 hours in…" city guides - Food tours, with one clip per dish - Hidden spots and viewpoints - Packing, airport and arrival day vlogs ## Filming tips - Hold each shot for **3–5 seconds**. Short, steady clips edit best. - Film **yourself reacting** sometimes. Faces make better hooks than landscapes. - Grab a **"hero" shot** (the best view) for cutzio to open with. ## FAQ ### How do I turn my travel clips into a reel? Out came a **20-second Short cut** and a **38-second Full cut**, with no manual editing. ## Why routines are perfect for cutzio Routine and day-in-the-life videos are made of many small clips: the alarm, the coffee, the skincare, the commute. Each clip needs trimming, and the order needs to flow. It's tedious by hand and exactly what cutzio automates. ## What cutzio does - Trims each clip to its **best few seconds**. - Keeps the **order of your day**, so the story flows. - With **Hook First**, opens on the most aesthetic or relatable moment. - Writes a caption and hashtags for each platform. ## Filming tips - Film **5–10 short clips** rather than a few long ones. - Use **natural light** and keep the phone steady. - Mix wide shots with close-ups (hands, steam, textures). AI auto-editors like cutzio take raw clips from your iPhone and return a finished vertical video, with the best moments chosen, pauses removed and captions written, without manual editing. ### What is the easiest app to make Reels from existing videos? If you don't want to edit at all, an AI auto-editor such as cutzio is the easiest: pick clips, pick a style, post. If you want templates with some control, CapCut and Edits are popular free options. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/guides/best-apps-turn-clips-into-reels-iphone --- # How to remove silences and dead air from a video on iPhone > You can trim silences on iPhone by hand in a timeline editor, splitting and deleting each pause, or remove them automatically with an AI editor. In cutzio, select your clips, choose Fast Jump (or Cut the Fluff to also remove filler words), and every pause is removed in about 2–3 minutes. Dead air is the fastest way to lose viewers on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Every pause gives people a reason to scroll. Here are three ways to remove it on your iPhone, from slowest to fastest. ## Option 1: The Photos app (start and end only) 1. Open the video in **Photos** and tap **Edit**. 2. Drag the yellow handles to trim the **start and end**. 3. Tap **Done**. **Limitation:** Photos can't remove pauses *inside* the clip, so it only handles the silence at the edges. ## Option 2: A manual editor (precise, but slow) In editors like CapCut, iMovie or Edits: 1. Import your clip and zoom into the timeline. 2. Find each pause using the audio waveform. 3. **Split** before and after the pause, then **delete** it. 4. Repeat for every pause in every clip. Some editors offer a "remove silences" tool, but you still have to arrange and review the clips yourself. ## Option 3: Automatically with AI (fastest) With [cutzio](/how-it-works): 1. Open cutzio and **select your clips** (up to 15, 15 minutes total). 2. Choose **[Fast Jump](/styles/fast-jump)** to remove every pause, or **[Cut the Fluff](/styles/cut-the-fluff)** to also remove "um"s, retakes and tangents. 3. Wait about **2–3 minutes**. 4. Get a **Short cut** and a **Full cut**, both without dead air, plus captions to post. Unlike simple silence detection, cutzio understands *what's* in your footage. Silent but meaningful shots (B-roll like a sizzling pan or a view) are kept, not cut as silence. ## Tips to reduce dead air when filming - **Know your first line** before you hit record. - **Pause clearly** between takes so cuts are clean. - **Film shorter clips.** They're easier to trim than one long take. ## FAQ ### Can the iPhone Photos app remove silence from a video? Not automatically. The Photos app can only trim the start and end of a clip. To remove pauses in the middle, you need a video editor. Manual editors make you split and delete each pause, while AI editors like cutzio do it automatically. ### What's the difference between removing silence and removing filler words? Removing silence cuts the gaps where nothing is said. Removing filler words cuts words like "um" and "you know", plus false starts. cutzio's Fast Jump focuses on silences, and Cut the Fluff focuses on filler and retakes. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/guides/remove-silence-from-video-iphone --- # How to make one Reel from multiple clips on iPhone > You can combine clips in Instagram's Reels editor or a manual editor by adding them in order and trimming each one. To do it automatically, select up to 15 clips in cutzio and pick a style. The AI chooses the best part of each clip, orders them into a story and exports a vertical video. Most good Reels are made of several short clips. Combining them is easy. The hard part is making them **flow**: picking the best second of each clip and putting them in an order that hooks viewers. ## Method 1: Instagram's built-in Reels editor 1. Open Instagram, tap **+**, then **Reel**. 2. Select **multiple clips** from your gallery. 3. Tap each clip to **trim** it. 4. Drag to **reorder**, then add audio and text. **Good for:** quick posts with a few clips. **Downside:** trimming every clip by hand on a small screen. ## Method 2: A manual editor (CapCut, Edits, iMovie) 1. Create a new **9:16** project. 2. Import all clips into the timeline. 3. Trim each clip, cut pauses, reorder. 4. Export and upload. **Good for:** full control. **Downside:** time, often an hour or more for a 30-second video. ## Method 3: Automatically with cutzio 1. Open cutzio and **select up to 15 clips** from Photos. 2. Choose a **style**: [Hook First](/styles/hook-first) to open with the best moment, [Fast Jump](/styles/fast-jump) for energy, or [Before/After](/styles/before-after) for transformations. 3. Optionally **add a note**, for example "keep the order of the day". 4. In about **2–3 minutes** you get a **Short cut** and a **Full cut** with captions written for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. ## What makes multi-clip Reels work - **A hook in the first second.** Lead with the payoff. - **One idea per clip.** Short clips cut cleanly. - **Variety.** Mix wide shots, close-ups and faces. - **A clear ending.** The result, the reaction or a call to action. ## FAQ ### How many clips can I put in one Reel? Instagram lets you add many clips to a Reel, but you have to trim each one yourself. In cutzio you can select up to 15 clips (15 minutes in total) and the AI trims and orders them for you. ### How long should a Reel be? Reels can be several minutes long, but short videos of around 15–45 seconds are typically easier to watch to the end. cutzio's Short cut targets that range, and the Full cut keeps more of the story. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/guides/make-reel-from-multiple-clips --- # How to write a hook for TikTok and Reels > A hook is the first 1–3 seconds of your video, and it must give viewers a reason to keep watching. The most reliable hooks show the payoff first, make a bold claim, or open a curiosity gap. Then the video delivers on that promise. On short-form platforms, viewers decide whether to keep watching almost instantly. Your **hook**, the first one to three seconds, decides whether the rest of your video gets seen at all. ## The 3 parts of a strong hook 1. **Visual:** something worth looking at in the first frame (the result, motion, a face). 2. **Verbal or text:** a line that creates curiosity or promises value. 3. **Promise:** a reason to stay until the end. ## 7 hook formulas (with examples) 1. **Show the payoff first.** Open on the finished dish, the clean room or the final look. *"This took 3 hours…"* 2. **Bold claim.** *"This is the only pasta recipe you need."* 3. **Curiosity gap.** *"Nobody tells you this about Lisbon…"* 4. **Direct callout.** *"If you film on your phone, stop doing this."* 5. **Mistake or warning.** *"I wasted a year doing my skincare wrong."* 6. **Number list.** *"3 moves that fixed my squat."* 7. **Before/after tease.** *"Wait for the reveal."* ## Edit so the hook comes first The best hook is often something you filmed **last**: the reveal, the tasting, the result. Most raw footage is in chronological order, so the payoff is buried at the end. That's why we built **[Hook First](/styles/hook-first)** in cutzio. It finds the most engaging moment in your clips and opens with it. Then it tells the rest of the story so the video still makes sense. You can also steer it with a note like *"start with the first bite"*. ## Common hook mistakes - **Slow intros:** "Hey guys, so today…" Cut straight to it. - **A promise you don't keep:** viewers leave and the algorithm notices. - **Text that's too small or too long:** keep on-screen hooks under about 8 words. ## Checklist - [ ] Something visually interesting in frame 1 - [ ] A clear promise in under 3 seconds - [ ] The payoff delivered before the end - [ ] No dead air at the start ## FAQ ### How long should a hook be? One to three seconds. Viewers decide almost instantly whether to keep watching, so the hook should land before the first scroll. ### Can AI choose the hook for my video? Yes. cutzio's Hook First style analyses your clips, finds the most engaging or surprising moment, and moves it to the start of the edit automatically. --- Last updated: 2026-10-10 · Source: https://cutzio.app/guides/how-to-write-a-hook-for-reels-tiktok --- # About cutzio Most creators film plenty.
